Athenia Henderson -- Singer-Songwriter
Never without a Song on Her Lips

Anthenia came to Hackensack five years ago from the town of Rosean in Dominica. She sings a mixture of Reggae and Soca that trespasses into Rhythm & Blues with delightful results. In Dominica, Athenia was the youngest in a nine-person band, "The Swinging Stars," and she's bounced from ensemble to ensemble in America. Now she's out on her own. As an example of her compositions, she offered "A Song in My Head," a musical declaration of love. Asked for her over-weening passion in life, she answered without hesitation that she sings every waking moment of every single day. Also, she spares no effort in instilling that love of melody in her children. She's performed at Le Varvat (WLBS Radio's club) among other night spots. Dominica's Athenia Henderson delivers an auspicious, stellar debut with the new single "A Song in my Head". Best described as Pop meets Techo, Athenia packs an explosive sound this track. Musically, the song is driven by a beautiful voice and high-paced, bass driven rhythms. "A Song in my Head" not only a solid release but a surprising one, one that definitely should not go unnoticed.

"A song in my Head"

This song is literally stuck in my head. It makes you just want to dance no matter where you are. It has great potential and I think will make it big. It is not only fun and hip but a great dance song and I cannot wait for it to be release so I can dance to it at he clubs. I hope more people will enjoy it as much as I do. All the best to tis song and the artist.
